SEC Football Conference Call - 9/7/2005

SECSports.com: SEC Football Coaches Press Conference - 09/7/2005

Houston Nutt:

(On facing Vanderbilt) "We had a couple of good days of practice, getting ready for Vanderbilt. We ended up pretty good health wise and we are looking forward to the challenge on Saturday."

(On running game) "We were glad to get off to the start that we did. We didn't turn the ball over. We know people are going to start cramming the line of scrimmage. We expect that. We expect people to come after us and we have to be ready and prepared to execute."

(On Jay Cutler) "He is outstanding. I think the thing I noticed is that they are going to put the ballgame in his hand. That's a smart thing to do. He is a senior and had a lot of starts. He doesn't get sacked much. You can do a lot of things with him. I see them building that team around Jay Cutler."

Vanderbilt coach Bobby Johnson:

(On facing Arkansas) "Hopefully we are well rested since we played last Thursday. Arkansas has a new quarterback on offense and they will be different from last year. We will be ready this week."
