ESPN Fires Trev Alberts

Sometimes jerks just get what's coming to them. Former Nebraska alum Alberts, you may remember, inserted himself (see here and here) into the Houston Nutt courtship by the Cornhuskers after the 2003 season.

On Sunday morning, Trev decided not to show up for work. So the ESPN brass said, "Hit the bricks, pal...beat it." I'm sure, however, that it'll be hard for them to find someone else that makes Mark May look like "the smart one."
