Pride And Tradition?

Did they just mature as a team? Or was it the embarrassment against Ole Miss? Or is it the uniforms?

Whatever it is, I like it. Drive, intensity...yes, even toughness have been displayed by the Razorback basketball team since the loss to Ole Miss.

Getting over the hump and winning an SEC tournament game following five straight conference victories has to be sweet for Stan Heath. I know this recent win streak is sweet for the fans.

Florida today will be interesting. They'll want payback for getting manhandled in Fayetteville. I hope the Hogs are determined to show that was not a fluke.

Putting on that 1978 uniform (or at least a fairly close replica - length of shorts and the absence of the former Hog basketball logo of the Hog jumping through the "A" are noted as differences) just has to instill a feeling of pride and tradition to this team. Especially for Ronnie Brewer. He basically wears his dad's shirt. And like his dad, his era can be marked with the "return" of Razorback basketball glory. Hopefully.

Right now the team is carrying the uniforms well. The only downer in this is that it's reminded me that I'm still angry at myself for not buying that Sidney Moncrief Razorback jersey long ago when it was offered.
